Batter
A powerful left handed opener with the ability to take on the bowlers, Hobart local Caleb Jewell has quickly become one of the most exciting players in the state, finding stellar form in late 2020 that he has been riding ever since.
First making his Tigers debut in 2016, Jewell broke through with his maiden first class century in early 2021, earning a recall off the back of sensational local form, and converting his opportunity into a knock of 140 against Queensland.
Fast forward 12 months and Jewell has become one of the most devastating batters in all of Shield cricket – adding another century and sitting sixth in total runs for the 2021/22 campaign at the time of writing.
At just 24, and forming a rock solid partnership with fellow opener Tim Ward, the sky is quite literally the limit for the young Tasmanian.
