Wicket Keeper
A talented batter and wicketkeeper, Jake Doran has been a name on the lips of cricket fans for almost 10 years, despite only being 25 years old. Signed as the youngest player in Big Bash history at just 16 for the Sydney Thunder, Doran has plied his domestic trade in Tasmania to great effect since 2015.
In the 2020/21 Sheffield Shield season, Doran scored 615 runs at an average of 43 – including two centuries – the most of any wicketkeeper for the season.
A likable character away from the crease, Doran has amassed over 50 Sheffield Shield caps for Tasmania thus far, and is part of the backbone of an explosive middle order that should serve the state well in future years.
