The first stage of the CT Female Pathway is the Hurricanes Academy. With a large focus on fun and skill development, the Hurricanes Academy is our young talented athletes first exposure point to the pathway.
The Skillset Squad is the next step in the pathway. Players are grouped according to their dominant skill and focus on developing that skillset. There is also a fielding and conditioning component that all players participate in.
Both the Hurricanes Academy and Skillset Squads are run in three hubs across the state, in the North West, North and South.
The Tigers Development Program is the top tier of the pathway. There is a focus on each players individual development within the group setting, including opportunities to train in the Tigers environment, with the view to progressing onto the contract list. At the moment the TDP runs in hubs in the North and South.
The pathway is complemented by the CT Premier League competitions, as well as Cricket North and Cricket North West competitions. Players in any of the pathway squads can also be selected to represent Tasmania in Cricket Australia age-group championships.
