SECOND XI SQUAD RELEASE v SACA

In their last Second XI fixture for the season, Tasmania's Second XI returns for another four-day encounter as they take on South Australia next week.

Tasmania's previous Second XI match was played during the BBL, where a strong Tasmanian line-up went down in a tighly fought game in Perth.

The match saw strong performances from U19 Tasmanian players Aidan O'Connor and Thomas Dwyer, along with University CTPL star Param Uppal who scored 91 in the second innings and New Town bowler Caelan Maladay who also took five wickets.

For this match against South Australia, several Tasmanian Tigers players will be aiming to put good performances in to help push their case for one of the two remaining Shield matches for this season.

Leading the side for this match will be Mac Wright, who made his return to representative cricket in the last Second XI game in Western Australia and will be supported by fellow experienced Tigers players Caleb Jewell and Charlie Wakim.

Pathways player Zac Curtain returns for his first representative game of the summer since coming back from injury, while Hobart Hurricanes quick Marcus Bean plays his first red-ball representative match for Tasmania.

This match against South Australia, will be Tasmania's last Second XI match for the season, having played in four matches across the season two of which resulted in draws.

With the Sheffield Shield match against South Australia happening at the same time with 25 Tasmanian cricketers and six coaches all in South Australia, the team will be coached by Male Pathways Head Coach Andrew Gale and assisted by Harry Allanby and Harry Nicholls
