After a brief hiatus from Second XI cricket, Tasmania's side returns to take on Western Australia next week in Perth.
During the Big Bash break, the Tasmanian Tigers wider squad have continued their training and key players within their red ball set up will play against Western Australia next week in the Second XI match at the WACA Ground.
The team will be buoyed by the return to Tasmanian cricket for Mac Wright, who injured his knee last season during a One Day Cup match against Queensland and will be looking to remind Tasmanian cricket fans just how talented he is.
Four players in the Second XI squad played in the National Country Cricket Championship earlier in the month, with Brayden De Vries and Param Uppal receiving awards for their performances during the tournament, and selection in the Second XI squad a reward for their form.
Captaining the side is Nivethan Radhakrishnan, who had two strong performances in the Tasmanian Tigers Sheffield Shield squad, and he will be looking to continue that good form.
The team will be coached by Tigers Assistant Coach, Rob Cassell, and he will be assisted by Former Australian cricketer, Xavier Doherty, who has been working with the Tasmanian spinners throughout this season.
The Tasmanian Second XI team is as follows:
Nivethan Radhakrishnan (C)
Tom Dwyer
Mac Wright
Brad Hope
Param Uppal
Aidan O’Connor
Bradyen De Vries
Josh Hartill
Lawrence Neil-Smith
Kieran Elliott
