It is with great excitement that Cricket Tasmania can announce their first Cricket Australia National Championship squad of the 2024-25 season.
The Female U19 National Championship is being held in Perth from 2 – 9 December 2024 and features several talented young Tasmanians.
The squad, which is captained by Greater Northern Raiders star, Ava Curtis, and coached by Nat Schilov, will be aiming to improve on last year’s tournament in Brisbane.
Schilov is looking forward to seeing what the team can do at this year’s championship.
“This U19 Championships feels a long time coming, the squad started their pre-season with us in June as part of a six-week strength and conditioning block before commencing their skills training.
“The improvement we’ve seen, particularly in our pace bowlers, with Sam Rainbird on board leading the fast bowlers in the pathway has been most pleasing.
“It’s going to be a really tough week away for the girls, with some fantastic talent out there across the country, but my message to our team is to be brave and enjoy the challenge,” said Schilov.
